　ずいぶん昔、フランシス・フォード・コッポラ監督の『タッカー』という映画が話題になりましたね。
　私はこの映画をたいそう気に入ってしまい、レーザーディスクを買ってしまったほどです。クルマがダメなら、次は冷蔵庫だ！というタッカーの前向きな生き様に憧れてしまいます。

　ドラマを盛り上げる音楽がとても印象的で、サントラを担当したジョー・ジャクソンのことをもっと知りたいと思い、買ったのがこれ。
　ギタリストが不在のアルバムなれど、寂しくなんかありません。常時パーカッションの音が鳴りっぱなしです。

　いちばんの聴きどころは、B4「スローな曲をかけてくれ」です。
　長めのバラードなのでシングル・カットはしにくかったのでしょう。でもシングルでヒットしたA5「ステッピン・アウト」よりずっといい曲ですよ。
