　飛ぶ鳥を落とす勢いで快進撃を続けるビリーが、満を持して放ったライブ盤。『ストレンジャー』以後のヒット曲はいっさい取り上げていないのがミソです。

　かつてレコーディングした曲を、ノリにノッている今のバンド・メンバーで再演したい、というビリーの意向なのだそうで、ジョージ・ルーカスが『スター・ウォーズ』旧シリーズの特撮のアラを最新技術で取り除き、あたかも「なかったこと」にしようとした、そういう思惑に近いものがあります。

　とにかくA1「マイアミ2017」を聴いてみて下さい。
　スタジオ録音の『ニューヨーク物語』では堅実にプレイしていたドラマーのリバティ・デヴィートが、ここでは狂ったようにあばれ太鼓を叩きまくっています。
　バンド全体がズンズンと激しく疾走するかのような勢いです。人気絶頂のこの頃、バンドの創造性も頂点にあったことがうかがえます。
